Meet Dr. Horng

Dr. Andrew Horng

Dr. Andrew Horng is a pediatric dentist practicing in Rockville, MD.  A resident of Montgomery County for over twenty years, he attended the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD.  After graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor of Science Degree and High Honors in Physiology and Neurobiology, he went on to attend the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Horng completed a two year general dentistry residency program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a two year pediatric dental residency program at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

Practicing dentistry since 2001, Dr. Horng began his career treating pediatric patients in private dental practices in Ellicott City, Maryland and York, Pennsylvania. He continues to treat patients at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, where he has been a clinical instructor since 2005.

Dr. Horng is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and an active participant in professional dental associations.  He serves on the executive committees of the Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Maryland State Dental Association for new members, and the Chinese Dental Study Club.  He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southern Maryland Dental Society.

An active volunteer and community service provider, Dr. Horng enjoys working with the public and the underprivileged.  Past volunteer experiences include participating with the Operation Smile Dental Mission in Vietnam, the Indian Health Service Dental Mission in Arizona, and the En Chu Kong Hospital Dental Clinic in Taiwan.  When the office schedule permits, Dr. Horng becomes active in the local community, providing dental health presentations to daycare centers, elementary and nursery schools.

In his spare time Dr. Horng enjoys working out at the gym, participating in sports activities, traveling, photography, and cheering at University of Maryland athletic events. GO TERPS!
